Management company. The agency will do strategic media planning and media
buying for this client. The financial terms of the tender and the budget of

The Ukrainian Independent Information Agency (UNIAN)
plans to create its own TV station and radio station. Oleksandr Harchenko, the
Chief Editor of UNIAN, told this at the press conference on occasion of the
agency’s 15 years.
MediaExpert advertising agency (Havas Media’s partner) won the tender
for Telesystemy Ukrainy
telecommunications company (PEOPLEnet
trademark) full media services. Tatyana
Popova, the Director General at MediaExpert,
told this to MediaBusiness. The financial terms of the tender were not
disclosed.
The official opening ceremony of the
9th Kyiv International Advertising Festival, the main advertising
festival of Ukraine, took place today, Wednesday 28 May.
In April, the number of
Ukrainian Internet users grew by 0.5% in comparison with March and amounted to 8 406 971 unique

Ekonomicheskie Izvestiya newspaper writes, no resident or non-resident
companies with a state-owned share more than 25% are permitted to tender in
privatization sale of Ukrtelecom, the monopolist of Ukrainian fixed-line
telephony market. This was reported by Dmytro Parfenenko, a vice-chairman of
State Property Fund of Ukraine. This condition eliminates all Western-European
companies from the list of potential tender participants.
The Governmental Committee on Legal
Policy, Defense and Law Enforcement Activity approved establishment of the State
Committee on Informatization of Ukraine.
“For the purposes of the National Program of Informatization implementation the
matter of establishment of the State Committee on Informatization of Ukraine on
the basis of the State Department of Communication and Informatization of
Ukraine (the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Ukraine) has been
discussed [by the Governmental Committee on Legal Policy, Defense and Law
Enforcement Activity] and must be considered by the Cabinet of Ministers of
