The Industrial Television Committee (ITK) adopted a resolution for the Digital Committee creation. The duties of the new Committee will include developing working relationships with those government authorities that bear responsibility for the transition of the Ukrainian TV to the digital format. Kateryna Kotenko, Managing Director of the Industrial Television Committee, told MediaBusiness about the ITK’s resolutions concerning the Digital Committee creation.     

According to Ms. Kotenko, the Ukrainian TV channels’ technical directors and development directors which have founded the Industrial Television Committee are going to join the Digital Committee. Valentyn Koval’, Director General of M1 TV channel, is appointed provisionally as the Digital Committee coordinator. We remind that apart from the Digital Committee, there are other committees working under the Industrial Television Committee – the Juridical Committee, the PR Committee, and the Technical Committee which is responsible for TV watching measurements.  

Industrial Television Committee (ITK) is the industry association which is engaged into the protection of the Ukrainian TV marketers’ interests. It was founded on 27 August 2002 by the Inter, 1+1, Novyi, ICTV and STB TV channels in association with the DMB&B/Starcom MediaVest Group, Provid/BBDO and ²n³t³at³ve med³a advertising agencies. Before 14 September 2006, ÐÀ FCB MA and the TET, M1, Ukraina and NTN TV channels had joined to the Industrial Television Committee.
