On 13 March, STB TV channel and Star Media group of companies are going to announce concluding a large contract. According to the deal, STB TV channel will purchase from Star Media 33 TV films designed for the STB’s Sunday time slot, Nashe Novoe Kino (Our New Cinema). The films are to be aired in 2009 year. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

STB TV channel is the Ukrainian nationwide TV network. Its targeted audience is people aged 18 years and older. The company was established in 1996 year. The channel is broadcasted in all the cities with population over 50 thousand people. In the third quarter of 2007 year, its share of audience aged 18 years and older amounted to 6,25%, the share of audience aged from 14 to 49 years was- 6,68%.The technical coverage of the channel is 92%. Novyi Kanal, ICTV, STB and M1 are parts of Chetviorka (Quad) holding which is managed by Viktor Pinchuk.

Star Media is a Russian-Ukrainian group of companies which specializes in production and distribution of different TV content (TV series, TV novels, TV films, TV shows of own production, and distributed films) The group consists of Star Media, Star Media Russia, Star Media Sound, and Babich Design studio. Vladislav Ryashyn is a head of the company’s supervisory board.
