On 13 March, STB TV channel and Star Media group of companies announced concluding a large contract. According to the deal, STB TV channel will purchase from Star Media 33 TV films designed for the STB’s Sunday time slot, Nashe Novoe Kino (Our New Cinema). A period of the license agreement is to begin on 1 January 2009 and last for three years. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

STB TV channel is the Ukrainian nationwide TV network. Its targeted audience is people aged 18 years and older. The company was established in 1996 year. The channel is broadcasted in all the cities with population over 50 thousand people. In the third quarter of 2007 year, its share of audience aged 18 years and older amounted to 6,25%, the share of audience aged from 14 to 49 years was- 6,68%.The technical coverage of the channel is 92%. Novyi Kanal, ICTV, STB and M1 are parts of Chetviorka (Quad) holding which is managed by Viktor Pinchuk.
