The Language Question Print

“The National Council shall not change its opinion on the language matter”, told Vitaly Shevchenko, a Head of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, in his interview to MediaBusiness. So, the National Council is going to insist further on increasing a part of the Ukrainian-language broadcasts from 75% to 85%. A few months rebellion of the TV industry, which doesn’t want to loose Russian-language viewers and advertisers, have had no result for the time being.
