This August, ZAO Yaltinskaya Kinostudiya (Yalta Film Studio) begins shooting a film with a tentative title Khortytsya designed for cinema distribution. Its budget amounts to $4 m.

It will be a historical adventure film covering two periods of Ukrainian history, X and XVII centuries. Shooting is going to take three or four months, but the film won’t be shown in cinemas until Spring 2010. Khortytsya is going to include many battle scenes with special effects, that’s why its post-production will take a lot of time.
