The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine announced tender on 8 channels of the national digital television network in MPEG-4 format. These channels are: Arts & Humanities channel (in the national minorities languages as well as in the state language); Children’s channel; Educational channel; Movie channel; Humour channel; and three positions more. The National Council offers to the most creative television industry representatives to determine the format of these channels.

The tender procedure foresees inviting original creative projects of the vacant channels. The national digital multi-channel television network ‘ÌÕ-4’ is going to be broadcast using MPEG-4. At the present moment, the channels of the national digital multi-channel television networks are arranged in such order:      

Network “ÌÕ-1”: «Pershyi Kanal», «1+1», «Inter», «ICTV», and «P’yatyi»;
Network “ÌÕ-2”: «Novyi», «STB», «Ukraina», «NTN», «ÒÅÒ»;
Network “ÌÕ-3”: «Tonis», «Megasport», «Ì1», a public television channel;
Network “ÌÕ-4”: «ERA», «Ekpres-Inform» and channels which are to be determined during the tender.

The tender for the vacant positions is to be held during two months.
